By the time I recognize this moment, this moment will be gone. But I will bend the light pretending that it somehow lingered on.

Say goodnight, not goodbye

Monday, July 24, 2006

This summer's been a bummer.

I haven't done anything I was planning in May.
It's gone by so fast. I start school in roughly two weeks.
BUT the thing is I'm really excited for school.
I love high school. And movies about high school. And everything about high school. And when I was younger I loved the idea of high school.
I know, I'm a freak.

I keep watching Power Rangers and Clueless and The Craft and listening to "Alright" by Supergrass and all this stuff and I feel like it's 1996.

Too bad it's ten years later and Emylie's leaving for college and I'm going to be a junior in high school. Which all traces back to the weirdness of this summer.

WHAT THE FUCK It's June 21st.

It's been summer for like a month since I last updated. Where have I been? I love summer. But I'm secretely excited that school will start soon enough. I guess it's not so secret now. But I'm going to be a freaking junior. Can I stress that enough!?

I TURN SIXTEEN ON SUNDAY.

Tuesday, May 30, 2006

These last few days have been so productive. I've watched Sleepover, X-Men 3, The Prize Winner of Defiance Ohio, Raise Your Voice, Clueless, Pleasentville, Little Manhatten, Godspell, The Family Stone, Kids In America, The Parent Trap, The Producers and In Good Company. I'm on a roll.
I've also made a rug. Out of a latch-hook kit. It's a fish. It was so tedious, but so worth it.
And I got my first wallet. And a hammock.

Edit: Add to that list Sideways, Elizabethtown, The 70's, and Pumpkin. That's 17 so far. Holla!

Hey! I'm a junior in high school now.
That's weird.

And it's summer. It's really, really summer. It's SO summer '06.

Edit:
Today during an intense room cleaning I cleaned out everything under my bed and I found this notebook from 5th grade and the second page said "BIG SCIENTIFIC CLEAVAGE". What??
